Scholarship Trust applications available

WHAT: Paul and Maria Morra Scholarship

WHEN: Applications being accepted through Wednesday, April 1

DETAILS: Cornell Cooperative Extension of Columbia and Greene Counties announces that applications for the Paul and Maria Morra Scholarship Trust are now available. The scholarship is available to residents of Columbia or Green counties who are pursuing further education in the field of horticulture, agriculture, forestry or natural resources. Scholarship selection is not based solely on academic standing, but greater emphasis is placed on the interest and motivation of the student to excel in their chosen field of study. Applicants should ensure their application packet responds very directly to the goals of the benefactors.

Ulster County SPCA offers Puppygrams for Valentine’s Day

WHAT: Valentine’s Day Puppygrams WHEN: Program ends at the end of the business day Thursday, Feb. 13 WHERE: 20 Wiedy Drive, Kingston

DETAILS: Enjoy the memorable and unique experience of shelter dogs delivering boxes of chocolates and puppy kisses this Valentine’s Day! Each of the dogs, aged 8 weeks to 2 years, is available for adoption and each comes bearing chocolates, a signed card and a small stuffed toy. Deliveries will cover Kingston, Saugerties, Woodstock, the High Falls area and across the river in Rhinebeck. Puppygrams are $50.
