Onteora defeats Wallkill, Dover

Onteora High’s golf team posted a pair of wins, defeating Wallkill in a nonleague match and Dover in a Mid-Hudson Athletic League match at Woodstock Golf Club.

Ori Grady shot a 2-overpar 37 to lead the (2-4 MHAL, 4-4 overall) Eagles. Adam Williams had a 44, Avery Burns 53 and Sam Haaland added a 55 for Onteora, which had a 189 to Dover’s 212 and Wallkill’s 227.

Keir Petri (46), Collin Harding (47), Annika Gazzoli (56) and Thomas Malone (63) paced (05) Dover. Brad Betcher carded a 43, Carl Piperato and Alex Temedis each had 60 and John Winters posted a 64 to lead (0-7) Wallkill. Millbrook 189, Rhinebeck 194

At Red Hook Golf Club, Tyler Schaad shot a medalist 42, Pat Kyle added a 45, Colby Whalen had a 48 and Justin Ahearn carded 54 on the back nine as Millbrook handed Rhinebeck its first loss.

Alex Pietras shot a 46, Cole Dixon had a 47, Max Pietras 50 and Ben Rinaldi added a 51 to lead the (5-1) Hawks. Roosevelt 184, Highland 195

At Staatsburg, Mike Bucholsky shot a 43, David Remsburger had a 44, Connor Hart added a 47 and Joe Nesbitt shot 50 as (6-3) Roosevelt went with a younger lineup in its win at Dinsmore over Highland.

Tom Cipollini had a 47, Brent Kropp and Will Minard each had 49s and Mark Tanzella added a 50 for Highland. Saugerties 186, Coleman 267

At Saugerties, Oliver Menon had a 42 and Kieran Defino 43 to lead the (6-1) Sawyers at the Lazy Swan Golf and Country Club Village. Jack Armstrong and Harry Bubel rounded out the Sawyer contingent with 47 and 54, respective­ly.

Cameron Smith shot a 57, Anthony Miressi had a 68 and Brandon Lawrence and Max Collier had 71s for (2-5) John A. Coleman Catholic.
