Jennifer Ann Freeman

-

Beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Jennifer Ann Freeman, died peacefully on February 23, 2023.

Jennifer was born on May 3, 1944, in New Haven, CT to Marion and Anthony Robert Rich, and grew up and attended public schools in Trumbull, CT. She graduated from Mount Saint Vincent Academy in Tuxedo Park, N.Y. in 1962 and graduated from Marjorie Webster Junior College in Washington, DC in 1964.

She married Peter Alan Freeman in 1966 and lived in Menlo Park, CA before returning to the east coast in the early 1970s, where she lived in Ridgefield and Trumbull, CT before settling in Oronoque Village in Stratford, CT, where she lived at the time of her death.

Jennifer is predeceased by her parents, Marion and Anthony Robert Rich. She is survived by her boyfriend, Dr. Michael Cavaliere of Stratford, CT, and his children Michael and Jeff Cavaliere of Fairbanks, Alaska and Fairfield, CT respectively, and Amy Falco of Milford, CT. She is also survived by her children, Carrie Therriault, and her boyfriend Chris Arnold, of Trumbull, CT; Tyson Freeman and his girlfriend Rita Abid of Santa Rosa, CA; and her grandchildren, Jack and Luke Therriault, and Karl Freeman.

Jennifer was blessed to spend more than 40 loving years with her boyfriend, Dr. Michael Cavaliere of Stratford, CT. They enjoyed many trips to Newport, RI, and Provincetown, MA over their years together. They were known for their standing Saturday night date to eat at all of their favorite Italian restaurants. Their commitment and love for one another was such a joy for their children to witness, especially over their last month together.

Jennifer read voraciously, knitted countless Afghans for charity, loved a good reality TV show, and spending time with close friends. She also adored any cat or dog she met along the way.

But Jennifer really lived for her family and was their fiercest advocate. There was nothing she would rather do than spend time with her children and three grandsons. Whether it be watching Jack and Luke at their sporting events, or chatting with young Karl on the phone, this is what brought her the most happiness.

Throughout her life, she was also a loving caregiver to several friends and family members. We were all so fortunate to have such a source of unconditional love and caring in our lives.

Services with be held privately with close family at Jennifer’s request.
