Linda Carlson

Linda Stella Carlson, age 75 of Shelton passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of August 27, 2021.

Linda was born May 12, 1946 in Bridgeport, CT to the late George and Estelle Havas. She graduated from Bunnell High School and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. There was nothing more important to her than her Catholic Faith and her family. Her love was shown to those around her by the special meals she prepared, cooking for church events, countless holidays and family parties she hosted creating many happy memories for all that attended.

She is survived by her son Richard and wife Dawn; her daughter Marcy McElhenny and husband David. Her beloved and dearest grandchildren Mary, Theresa, Catherine, Richard and Andrew. Loving brother George Havas and sister Barbara DeFrancisco. Her dearest sister-in-law Sharon Northcutt and brother-inlaw Wayne Kelley, as well as many nephews, nieces and cousins. She was predeceased by her cherished high school sweetheart and husband of 52 years Richard W. Carlson Sr, brother-inlaw Gibby Northcutt and sister-in-law Loretta Havas.

A Requiem Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Christo Rey Church, 33 Church Street, Wilton CT. Church is located on the corner of Church Street and West Church Street. Please park in the Bouton Funeral Home parking lot on 31 West Church Street.

Interment will follow at Nichols Village Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call to Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, from 4 to 8 p.m. (Rosary will be said at 7 p.m.).

In lieu of flowers, Linda had a special devotion to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Contributions would be appreciated towards a Novena of Masses to be offered for the eternal repose of her soul.
