ROCK SPRING - CHARLES EMORY FARMER, 83, passed away peacefully at his home on October 24, 2023 and went to be with his Lord and Savior in Heaven. He was born in Fort Payne, AL and later moved to Rock Spring, GA where he had lived for the past 62 years. He attended Noble Church of God where he loved to worship and sing. He was an active member in his community as both a coach and president of the local athletic organizati­on. Charles was retired from Anchor Glass (Chattanoog­a Glass). But more than anything he loved spending time with his family and set a great example for everyone around him.

Survived by daughter Pamela Jean Farmer (Benny) Fitzgerald, daughter in law Donna Ann Sparks Farmer and son in law Brady Fitzgerald. Beloved Grandfathe­r to 11 grandchild­ren, 13 great-grandchild­ren and several nieces and nephews.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents Archie Emory Farmer and Myrtle Amanda (Ballenger) Farmer, wife of 60 years Gloria Jean Davis Farmer, son Charles Michael Farmer, daughter Kathy Denise Farmer Fitzgerald, brother Woodrow (Woody) Hughes Farmer, sisters Nancy Jane Farmer and Dorothy Jean Farmer.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 4PM in Rainsville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Turnipseed officiatin­g. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Friday, October 27th from 5PM-8PM and Saturday, October 28th from 2PM-4PM
