RINGGOLD - Charles Howard Delaney, 87, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.

Howard was a native of Harriman, TN and had lived most of his life in the Chattanoog­a and North Georgia area. He was a 1955 graduate of Central High School, was a member of South Seminole Baptist Church, and he was a United States Army veteran having served in the late 1950’s. Howard was the owner and operator of Delaney’s Auto and Towing since 1966. His passions in life were spending time with his family and watching NASCAR. He attended the Daytona 500 from the early days of it being raced on the beach and he always enjoyed his pit passes and meeting the drivers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ethel Delaney; and brother, Paul Delaney.

Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Virginia Fryar Delaney; two children; Craig (Tammie) Delaney and Teresa (Gary) Bean; three grandchild­ren, Derek (Abrigail) Delaney, Candace Delaney, and Mitchell Bean; three great grandchild­ren, Cadance Kellerhals, Reed Delaney, and Lilly Delaney; two loving nieces, Beverly Crigger and Debbie (Johnny) Evans.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 5th at 2:00p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Dr. Ron Perry and Gary Bean officiatin­g.

A private interment will be in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 5-8p.m. and Friday one hour prior to the service at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville, GA.
