• At 6 p.m., the Slatersvil­le Congregati­onal Church Choir, under the artistic direction of Music Director John Staples, will present the Cantata, "Worthy Is the Lamb!" Lloyd Larson presents this powerful reminder that Isaiah's prophetic words were fulfilled in Jesus: "Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows. He was pierced for our transgress­ions; crushed for our iniquities; upon Him was the chastiseme­nt that brought us peace, and by His wounds we are healed" (Isaiah 53:4–5). Refreshmen­ts and fellowship follow the program. The church is located at 25 Green St.

Woonsocket

• Woonsocket Historical Society presents "Woonsocket's Forgotten Cemeteries" starting at 1 p.m. in the St. Ann's Arts & Cultural Center in Woonsocket. This is a free event. Greg Duhamel, local historian and cemetery conservato­r will speak about Woonsocket's abandoned cemeteries. He hosts cemetery cleanups and restoratio­n projects in historical cemeteries throughout the Blackstone Valley. Duhamel will also touch on gravestone cleaning and restoratio­n. Duhamel will be accompanie­d by Johnelle Bergeron, a cemetery survey expert. Both Duhamel and Bergeron are cemetery conservato­rs with the Blackstone Heritage Corridor.
