Police ID man killed in double shooting
Three others shot in Roxbury
A triple shooting in Roxbury sent three to the hospital overnight Friday, and police released the name of a man killed in a double shooting two nights earlier.
The Roxbury shooting happened around 11 p.m. on Friday in the area of Dale and Warren streets in what is still an ongoing investigation, according to Boston Police on Saturday.
The three people shot had non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to local hospitals. No other information was available.
Police also identified the man killed in a double shooting two nights before as 33-year-old Deangelo Taldon, the Boston Police Department announced.
Taldon was killed early Thursday morning in a shooting that also injured another man, the police said on Saturday.
Officers responded to a call for a shooting around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday in the first block of Whitfield
Street near Codman Square in Dorchester, where they found two men who had been shot.
Both were taken to the hospital, where Taldon was pronounced dead, according to police.
The other man’s injuries are not life-threatening.
Officers are actively investigating the shootings and are asking anyone with information to step forward. Anyone can give information anonymously by calling the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1-800-494-TIPS or by texting the word ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463).
The same day as the double shooting, there was also one nonfatal shooting and three nonfatal stabbings in Boston, police data shows. Four other nonfatal shootings happened earlier in the week.
Since January, there have been 14 fatal shootings in Boston and another 60 nonfatal shootings. That’s an increase of 14 total shooting victims from this time last year.
