Cops announce arrests in Roxbury, Dot homicides; search for two other suspects

A 22-year-old Hyde Park man has been arrested in connection with a Dorchester double-shooting that claimed the life of a 35-yearold man and left a woman with life-threatenin­g injuries, police announced yesterday.

Aaron Almeida was nabbed on Morrissey Boulevard about 10:45 a.m. by members of the BPD Fugitive Unit and the Youth Violence Task Force, police Commission­er William B. Evans said. He will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on a murder charge stemming from an early-morning shooting on Aug. 20 on Dudley Terrace that left Ailton Goncalves dead.

Also yesterday, Evans announced an arrest in connection with the March 21 shooting death of Allex Bryant, 28, of Boston, who was found dead on Humboldt Avenue shortly after 3 a.m.

Dartanyan Pledger, 24, of Dorchester, was arrested on a murder charge Thursday in Atlanta, Ga., Evans said.

Police are now turning to the public for help locating two other people wanted in connection with the shooting.

Nic cokowan Pledger- Grant, 26, of Quincy, is wanted on a murder charge and Lisa Lewis, 24, of Quincy, is wanted on a charge of being an accessory after the fact.

“I’d like to thank all of my officers and detectives who have been working tirelessly on both of these cases,” Evans said in a statement. “Their efforts over the past several months and weeks are evidence of their commitment to seeking justice for all victims, families and loved ones affected by violence.”
