Ruth Loya Soto, 75, of Big Spring, Texas was welcomed home into the arms of her Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021. The family has chosen to have a memorial service to honor and celebrate Ruth’s life at a later date.

Ruth was born July 4, 1945, in Mercedes, Texas. She married Tomas Soto, Sr. on April 28, 1968. Ruth and Tommy had two sons, Tomas Soto, Jr. and Armando Soto.

Ruth was a cosmetolog­ist, and she truly loved her job and working with people. She eventually settled at the Big Spring State Hospital where she worked for several years before retiring.

Ruth will be remembered for her beauty, her friendline­ss, her phone calls, her love for shopping, her cooking, and so much more.

She will be truly missed by her husband, Tommy Soto; a daughter in law, Charla Soto, four grandchild­ren, Trey Soto, Christina Perez, Tony Soto, and Teryn Thomasson, seven great grandchild­ren, two brothers, Noe Luevanos and Rafael Luevanos, Jr., one sister, Mary Weeks, and so many nieces and nephews who had special relationsh­ips with her.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Tommy, Jr and Armando Soto, mother and father, Marcella and Rafael Luevanos, Sr. and a brother, Juan Solis.
