Bryant board approves personnel changes
The Bryant School Board approved personnel items during its regular meeting Thursday.
Before the vote, Dr. Karen Walters explained why the district was asking to add a new school nurse. Instead of being assigned to a school, this nurse will be assigned to a student whose individual education plan requires them to have a one to one nurse. Walters said normally, that is done through an agency, but right now the agencies do not have any, so the school has to hire one. This nurse will also help train special education paraprofessionals. The funds for the nurse should be at least partially reimbursed by the state.
Deputy Superintendent Todd Sellers told the board the district is good on its number of bus drivers for now.
