Linda Carol Davis Burkhead

Linda Carol Davis Burkhead passed on peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 29. Born Feb. 28, 1947, in Benton, the daughter of Guy and Jessie Davis. Her parents, first husband, Charlie Dove, son, Stevie Dove and daughter Cherona Dove, brothers and sisters, Grace, Bobby, Sue, Billy and Dori all preceded her in death.

Linda served and was a faithful member of Sylvan Hills Community Church, served as president of the Mary Martha Too Ladies Group. Her favorite was serving at the Crisis Corner to those in need. Linda was a strong and Faithful Christian woman.

Linda retired from Maybelline after 30 years in various positions, her favorite was as a forklift driver. A loving wife and mother, she enjoyed camping, boating and spending time with her family.

She is survived by the love of her life, John Paul Burkhead; four children, Lisa Dove (Kevin) Wood, of Benton, Jennifer (George) Bajorek, of Jacksonville, Dustin (Sarah) Burkhead, of Sherwood, and Adam (Shawnna) Burkhead, of Quitman; two brothers, James Davis, of Mayflower, and Dale Davis, of North Little Rock; a sister, Peggy Nelson, of Little Rock; 11 grandchildren, Zack (Brittany) Wood, Devin Wood, Benton (Haley) Bajorek, Cameron Bajorek, Amber Bajorek, Billy Blane Davis, Malia Davis, Lily Burkhead, Madison Burkhead, Brayden Burkhead and Brody Burkhead; and two great-grandchildren, Lukas and Levi Wood.

Graveside memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Jan. 7, at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, located at 1501 W. Maryland Ave in North Little Rock.

Bro. Tim Mcminn will officiate.

Family asks that memorials in memory of Linda be made to Sylvan Hills Community Church Crisis Corner, 8019 Hwy 107, Sherwood, AR 72120.

Due to health concerns during COVID-19, the family plans to have a public memorial service at Sylvan Hills Community Church, time and date to be announced, in the future. Arrangements are entrusted to Griffin Funeral Home of Dumas.
