Texas should have learned a lesson from its 53-40 victory over Cornell, a team that lost to unranked Syracuse, 8035.

“We should have been humbled earlier in the season,” Aston said. “The young players were never humbled in practice because we didn’t have older players, because of injuries.”

Aston said the team should improve when Reed gets back into shape and Mazionyte returns. It could be another month before the junior from Lithuania makes a comeback.

Bass remains “day to day” after missing 10 of the Longhorns’ first 11 games.
