William Edward Clark III
Sally Grace Barnes and William Edward Clark III were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 27, in Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jay Clark officiated.
Tanya and Dr. C. Lowry Barnes of Little Rock are the parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of the late Sue Phillips and the late Bill Phillips, both of Jonesboro, and the late Reese and Charles Barnes of Pine Bluff.
The groom is the son of Christy and William Clark of Little Rock. His grandparents are Margaret and the late Bill Clark of Little Rock, and Joy and Bobby Swanson of McCrory.
A cross covered in fresh white flowers including hydrangeas, garden roses and spray roses decorated the chancel. Music was by organist Sungyun Kim.
The bride, escorted by her father, wore a sleeveless gown of embroidered applique lace on tulle. The bodice had a scoop neckline and embroidered shoulder straps. The full trumpet skirt embellished with lace extended to a cathedral train. Her silk tulle veil with blusher was also cathedral-length. She carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas, garden roses, ranunculus, spray roses and lisianthus.
Matron of honor was Emily Barnes McCarty of Little Rock, sister of the bride. Maid of honor was Arianna Kiaei of New York.
Bridesmaids were Peyton Barnes, Callie Margiotta, Olivia Zimmer, Leah Sage and Katherine Hinson, all of Little Rock; Aubrey Kate Clark of Fayetteville, sister of the groom; Tristan Winters of Jonesboro; Sarah Grace Tucker of Jacksonville; Eleanor Henry of Dumas; and Hannah Lloyd of Nashville, Tenn.
They wore steel blue sleeveless gowns with square necklines and carried a smaller version of the bride’s bouquet.
Flower girls were Emma Reese McCarty, Amelia McCarty and Sutton Barnes, all of Little Rock and nieces of the bride.
The father of the groom served as best man. Groomsmen were Ben Clark of Fayetteville and Alex Clark of Wake Forest, N.C., brothers of the groom; Luke Van Dover, Colton Fisher, Andrew Mayes and Larkin Harris, all of Little Rock; Tripp Croom of Russellville; Brayden Leach of Sherwood; Grant Hughes of Fayetteville; Graham Smithson of North Little Rock and Bennett Waddell of El Dorado.
Guests were seated by Charlie Gschwend of Nashville; and Collin Cahill, Mark Zimmer, Chase Barnes and Andrew McCarty, all of Little Rock.
A reception was held at the Country Club of Little Rock where a blue and white hydrangea arch framed the entrance to the President’s Room. Guest tables held various arrangements of white hydrangeas, garden roses, larkspur and spray roses. Music was by the Grooveline band from Dallas.
The bride graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from the University of Arkansas. She will graduate May 18 with a medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and will start an obstetrics and gynecology residency at UAMS in July.
The groom has a bachelor’s degree in business administration also from UA. He is a project manager at Clark Contractors LLC.
The couple will live in Little Rock after a honeymoon in Majorca, Spain; the Jungfrau region in Switzerland; and Amsterdam.
