ARLINGTON, Texas — Mrs. Kathleen Kennedy Mazanti

passed from this world to her Heavenly home on Saturday, April 15, 2023, after a brief illness. Mrs. Mazanti was born in Janesville, Wis., to the late William and Elizabeth Lewis Kennedy. She graduated from Pine Bluff (Arkansas) High School in 1960, and was married to Vincent (Van) Mazanti, also of Pine Bluff. Kathleen was a loving wife, mother, “Mawzan,” and “Mimi,” with an easy laugh, a quick wit, and a gentle soul. She loved reading, cooking, and creating art, particular­ly with stained glass, sterling silver jewelry, and pen and ink drawings.

Kathleen began her profession­al life upon high school graduation as a stewardess for Braniff Airlines. After raising her three children, she served as school secretary for Trinity Episcopal School in Pine Bluff. She later moved to Texas, where she worked in accounting for transport companies in both Austin and the DFW area.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent (Van) Mazanti; brothers, William Kennedy and Joseph Kennedy; and sisters, Elizabeth Kennedy Maliga and Mary Elaine Kennedy Holte.

She is survived by her children, Susan Wright of Arlington, Texas; Mark Mazanti (Angela) of Bartlett, Tenn.; and Sharon Lowe of Fort Smith, Ark.; grandchild­ren, Sarah Mazanti Clark (Paul); Ethan Mazanti; Alex Mazanti (Danielle); Amara Lowe Brown (Zack); Grace Lowe (David Sykes); Derek Wright; Justin Wright (Susan); and Rachel Wright Allen (Jeff); great-grandchild­ren, Hayden Clark, Chloe Clark, Uriah Mazanti, Gabriel Mazanti, Harper Lowe, Creed Lowe, Roper Brown, Braelyn Sykes, Reagan Wright, Madison Wright, Kennedy Wright, Taylor Wright, Avery Allen, Owen Allen, Amelia Allen, Annabel Allen, and Egan Allen; sister, Genevieve Kennedy Wilkins (AR); brother, Mike (Karen) Kennedy (AZ); brother-in-law, Gary Holte (FL); many great-nieces and great-nephews; and the many friends she treated as if they were her adopted children.

The Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, April 29, 2023, 11 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Cathedral, 1206 Throckmort­on Street, Fort Worth, with interment at a later date in Pine Bluff. Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas, is entrusted with the arrangemen­ts.
