BELLEVILLE, Ill. — Sharon Louise Ford,
75, of Belleville, Illinois, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021, at her home. She was born in England, Ark., on November 8, 1945.
She is preceded in death by her father, Leroy Barnett; husband, Cloyce “Neal” Ford, to whom she was married for 55 years; and one brother, John Barnett.
Surviving to cherish her memory is her mother, Myrtle Barnett; her loving children, James (Terry Sullivan) Ford, John (Cindy) Ford, and Joseph Ford and Deb (Dave) Kerrison, George
(Tina) Ford, Richard Ford, Donna (Allen) Harris; her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Hunter, Allison, Emily, Chloe, Connor, Ryan (Shelby), Sarah, Shelby (Paul), Lindsay (Ryan), Chelsea (Samantha); her great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Paul, Jr., and Sammie; her brother-in-law, Sidney (Peggy) Ford; and many cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Sharon was an artist and a painter. She also loved to sew and dedicated time to turning old wedding dresses into bereavement gowns for infants with the organization Allison’s Angel Gowns. She was a dedicated military wife, loving mother and grandmother. She loved listening to live music with her husband and was very active in her church, Villa Hills Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 14th, 2021, at Valhalla Gaerdner-Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 14th, 2021 at Valhalla Gaerdner-Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois. Interment will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
