The current civil war
Dennis Berry wrote that the current beginning of the Senate impeachment trial of Donald Trump was nothing but a Republican cover-up and that our Constitution would be jeopardized by a “partisan Senate ‘trial’.” Really …
On Inauguration Day in 2017, The Washington Post published an article titled “The campaign to impeach President Trump has begun.” It started there and seems it has been an active priority for the Democrats and the media ever since. It started with accusations of Russian collusion by the president and the list goes on and on from there.
Berry went on to say that our current dispute over Donald Trump’s presidency is the equivalent of our brutal Civil War. I agree. Families across America, including mine, are afflicted by this division. My brother, uncle and I think that Trump and his administration are doing a great job. My sister and nieces want him handcuffed in the Oval Office and immediately sent to prison, although they have softened their stance and taken the death penalty off the table.
Although some refer to the eight years of the Obama administration as the “Golden Years,” I consider them the “Dark Ages” where America was to blame for virtually everything that was wrong in the world. Let’s be honest. I’m not going to change your mind and you’re not going to change mine.
The presidential election is less than 10 months away. I’m perfectly willing to let the American people decide who will lead our country beyond 2020. Are you?
