LAMAR BRIDGES, 93, of Little Rock, died March 28 in Little Rock. He was born January 23, 1925 in Plainview, Ark., to Matthew and Eva Bridges. He was an Army veteran and served in Europe during World War II. He was a Mason and a member of the Geyer Springs Baptist Church. He was a retired Little Rock police officer and longtime property manager for the Grundfest family. Survivors include his special friend, Ardell Glover; son Larry and wife Janice of Batesville; daughter Linda Trionfante and husband Paul of Searcy; three grandchild­ren, Josh Bridges and wife Dee of Batesville, Tony Trionfante of Searcy, Alicia Vinsant of Searcy; three great-grandchild­ren, Alex Vinsant, Livvie Trionfante, and Logan Trionfante; his nephew Bob Bridges who was his long-time caregiver; and many other nephews and nieces. Funeral will be 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2018, in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth. Sign guest book: www.christianw­ayfh.com. –––––❖––––– DIANE JOHNS WOOLLY, born March 23, 1947 in Newport, Ark., and died the 28th of March, 2018 in Little Rock after a long fight against Colon Cancer and Alzheimer’s Disease. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Velma Lee Pace Johns and Archie Rex Johns, and brother Kem Johns. Diane is survived by her husband of 44 years William R. Woolly; two daughters, Laura Woolly Gibbs (husband Deymond and grandchild­ren Ethan, Haven and Vaughn) of Houston, Texas, Melissa Ann Vance (husband Quinn, and grandchild­ren Barrett and Lane) of Bryant, Ark.; and three siblings, Rex Allen Johns and wife Barbara, Lanney Johns and wife Cheryl, Jeannie Cole and husband Michael. Her grandchild­ren were her delight. Diane attended public schools in Newport, Ark., received a BS in Education from Harding University, and Masters degrees from both the University of Arkansas in Fayettevil­le and UALR. She taught Family and Consumer science for 37 years, 36 years at the Arkansas School for the Blind. She was an active member of the profession­al organizati­on for teachers of the blind, making numerous presentati­ons at state and national conference­s. She was also a member of the Pulaski County Home Economist Associatio­n. Diane was a dedicated and impactful teacher, committed to those she taught and to the enhancemen­t of the lives of the blind. After retirement, she volunteere­d regularly at the Broken China Project that supported the Women’s Shelter of Central Arkansas in Conway. Diane was a member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ in Little Rock. She is now rejoicing in Heaven with her Savior, whole, and no longer impaired with disease. Visitation will be at 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2018 with memorial service following at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth, 5800 W. 12th St., Little Rock (501) 6619111 with Nick Hamilton officiatin­g. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at White County Memorial Gardens in Searcy, Ark.
