–––––❖––––– GENE ARNOLD SEAY, 68, of Sherwood passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016. He was born March 29, 1948 in Oppelo, Arkansas, to the late Emerial and Marnie Lawson Seay. Gene worked for UPS for 28 years in Accounting and Computer IT, and was a graduate of Arkansas Tech University with Bachelors in Math. He and his wife Paula are in the San Diego Zoological Society as Founder Circle Members.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Paula Norman Seay; son, David Lyons of Sherwood; brothers, Otto Seay (Wanda) of North Little Rock and Charles Seay of Cabot; sisters, Rita Stewart of Cabot, Iva Bingham (Charles) of Oppelo, and Muriel Branch (Gene) of Bigelow; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Seay; and two sisters, Alene Hawkins and Melba Miller.

–––––❖––––– JOE A. WRIGHT, 91, of North Little Rock passed away Monday, August 22, 2016. He was born November 6, 1924 in North Little Rock, Arkansas, to the late Joseph and Minnie Gentry Wright. He graduated with the class of 1942 from North Little Rock High School. Joe was a family oriented man who served as a pilot in the United States Navy, and retired from Southweste­rn Bell with 35 years of service. He was a member of Gardner Memorial United Methodist Church his whole lifetime, was an avid fisherman, loved camping, vacations and the Razorbacks.

He is survived by his daughters, Becky Roberts (Darius), Kim Stacey (Joe); grandchild­ren, Justin McCuiston, Scott Stacey (D.J.), BeckyJo Stacey, Weston Stacey, Cassie Campbell, Jeff Campbell, Kali Roberts and Caleb Roberts; great-grandchild­ren, Tyler Stacey, Jinna Stacey, Ryley McCuiston, Colin McCuiston and Eva Roberts, and several extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 61 years, Rose Blasingame Wright; two brothers, Reagan and Orville Wright; and two sisters, Prudie Taylor and Billie Layne.

ALEXANDER — Lou Dixon, age 93, of Alexander, died Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Saline Memorial Hospice. She was born February 9, 1923 in Grant County, Ark., to Delbert Jack and Evelyne Florella Worthen Kelley. Lou loved the outdoors and gardening, especially flowers. She was a poultry and cattle farmer, enjoyed keeping the flowers growing on the farm and riding her 4-wheeler until she was 88. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Dixon.

She is survived by four children, Marilyn Troutt Bagby and husband John, Odessa Troutt Hood and husband, Henry, Charolette Troutt Paul and husband David, and Kelley Troutt and wife, Dana; six grandchild­ren, Gordon Bagby, Julie Bagby Gaiser, and husband, Neil, Waynette Hood Traub, Casey Hood and wife, Anita, Amanda Jones and Laura Jones; seven great-grandchild­ren, Kaitlin, Koltin, Chloe, Hanna, Nathan, Casey Alex, and Carson; and one great-great-grandson, Liam.

–––––❖––––– BENTON — Farrell D. McCoy, 75, of Benton, passed away August 21, 2016 surrounded by his family on Sunday, August 21, 2016. He was born March 2, 1941 in Searcy, Ark., to John and Vera McCoy.

Ferrell was raised on a cotton farm in Rose Bud, and graduated from Rose Bud High School in 1959. After high school, he and his twin brother moved to Modesto, Calif., where they drove forklifts for Gallo Winery. They enjoyed the California lifestyle and studied design engineerin­g at the local junior college. He then moved to Flint, Mich., and worked as a supervisor on the carburetor assembly line at General Motors.

He married Gayla Leach in 1963 and settled in Central Arkansas, where he studied engineerin­g at University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He retired from ALCOA (The Aluminum Company of America) after 27 years as a design engineer.

Farrell was an active member at Hope Church, Benton, Ark., and The Church at Rock Creek, Little Rock, Ark. He formerly served as a deacon at First Baptist Church, Cabot, Ark., and First Baptist Church, Benton, Ark. He was very active in the Royal Players Community Theater in Benton, serving several years on the board and in many other capacities. He enjoyed riding motorcycle­s, hunting, camping and traveling.

Farrell was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Gayla McCoy; his brother Tommy McCoy of Searcy, Ark.; his twin brother Darrell McCoy of Searcy, Ark.; and his parents Walter and Vera McCoy of Rose Bud, Ark..

He is survived by his children, David McCoy and wife Ashley of Little Rock, Dena Drennan and husband Chip of Bowdon, Ga., and Kellee McCoy and wife Merideth of Benton. He was blessed with 11 grandchild­ren: Lawryn Downes, Brittany Drennan, Cody Phillips, Tanner Drennan, Jack Travis, Chandler Holcomb, Jon Michael McCoy, Lily Travis, Annah Kayte Holcomb, William McCoy, and Andrew Travis; and three great-grandchild­ren: Brixi, Huntley, and Charlie. He was loved by numerous friends and extended family members.

–––––❖––––– CABOT — Forrest Ray Hunter, 79, of Cabot, died Saturday, August 13, 2016. He was born June 25, 1937 to the late Sterling G. Hunter and Reatha L. Bolden Hunter. Forrest served with the United States Army as a paratroope­r with the 101st Airborne Division “Screaming Eagles”, where he completed hundreds of jumps. He later joined the United States Air Force where he retired after 23½ years of service. He played dobro with the Garth Travis Bluegrass Band, was an avid golfer, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Forrest loved his family, and was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfathe­r. He treated everyone he knew as family, and was a friend to all. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Mabel Howard.

He is survived by his wife, Sally Mae Hunter; sons, Sterling E. Hunter and wife Robin of Fredricksb­urg, Va., and Gregory C. Hunter and wife Freda of Ward; brother, Billy Gene Hunter and wife Sandi of Mexico, and Zene Morgan and husband Paul of Plainwell, Michigan; and five grandchild­ren, Christophe­r Daniel Hunter of Ward; Catherine Elizabeth Perez and husband Erik of Cabot; and Sterling Eugene Jr., Robert Joseph, and Kathleen Elizabeth Hunter, of Fredericks­burg, Va.

–––––❖––––– CABOT — Flynn Rodgers Reveley, went home to be with the Lord on August 20, 2016. Flynn was born on July 31, 1948 to Euguene and Clarice Reveley. He is survived by his wife; Margaret, his son; Ryan, daughter-in-law; Allie, and three grandsons; Caedmon, Shepherd and Rex. He is also survived by his sister; Joyce Oliver, nephew; Mike Oliver, niece; Tricia Oliver, and numerous cousins.

Flynn worked for many years as a paper salesman for Little Rock Paper Company, Roach Paper Company, and Unisource from which he retired in 2012. He loved his job because he loved being around people. He never met a stranger because he would go out of his way to make anyone feel welcome. He made many special friends in his life who have stood by his side through his life journey. He loved spending time in the woods hunting for the next big buck. He loved the game of baseball and has passed that love on to his son and grandsons. He made many friends along the way and affected many lives because he would always think of everyone else first. He loved his wife, Margaret deeply and always stayed by her side.

–––––❖––––– DeWITT — Shelby Gordon Burnett, Jr., 96, of DeWitt was born June 4, 1920, to the late Shelby Gordon Burnett, Sr., and Mayme McKenzie Burnett. He died August 19, 2016 surrounded by the love of his family and friends.

He graduated from DeWitt High School in 1938 and Arkansas State Teachers College in 1942. He joined the Marine Corps in 1942, and married Dorothy Barnes of Wilson, N.C. on November 27, 1943. He was sent to the South Pacific and served there in the Supply Service until the end of WWII. He was recalled to serve two additional years at Cherry Point, N.C. in 1952. He was retired as Major USMC in 1964.

In 1954, he moved his family to Aiken, S.C., where he worked as a Health Physics inspector at the nuclear reactor located at the Savannah River Plant. In 1964, he returned to DeWitt, where he establishe­d a one man plumbing business holding the slogan of “Good AS Any —Better-N Some.” He retired from plumbing in 2002 a few months before the death of his wife, Dorothy, on December 16, 2002. He lived in DeWitt until a fall in January 2015 prompted his family to move him to Little Rock, to assist with his care.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Lemuel Burnett, his sister Magdalene Moffatt and daughter Delores Fox. He is survived by his sister, Bonnie Whitlow of Dallas, Texas; his son in law, Charles Robert Fox of DeWitt; his son Bobby Burnett (Betty) of New Bern, N.C., daughter Rebecca Bryant (Mike) of Bryant; and daughter Ching Hearnsberg­er of Little Rock. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchild­ren, great-grandchild­ren, and great-great-grandchild­ren.

A celebratio­n of his life will be planned and announced at a later date. It was his wish that friends and acquaintan­ces, who so desired, should come together where libations, both hard and soft, will be served in memory of him! Special thanks to those caregivers at House of Three who loved and cared for him as if he was their own. To Gentiva Hospice, whose guidance and care was more than we could have hoped for. And to “James”, his new found friend who was with him from day one to help him maintain his dignity, and granted him reprieve from the otherwise mundane activities of his daily care plan. He was a special man that lived his life in a way that made others love him and laugh with him. He will be missed.

She was born December 27, 1937, in Almena, Kan., the daughter of Ernest Dewitt and Rosealie (Von Stiers) Rodenbaugh. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Mariane Elizabeth Murphy and Vernita Adella Pepper; her daughters, Terry Anita Odegard and Lesa Carol Halsey; and her son, Ernest Glenn Halsey.

Lillian is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Chris Devine of Harrison, and Tammy and Rick Tenison of Gassville, Ark.; and her sons, Gary Halsey, Sr. of Hector, Ark. and Charles Halsey of Green Forest, Ark.. She is also survived by her nine grandchild­ren and their spouses, Timothy and Mona Odegard of Memphis, Tenn., Tabetha Odegard of Harrison, Gary and Marie Halsey, Jr. of Hector, Mark Halsey of Hector, Lois Halsey of Dover, Ark., Tiffany and Vince Stewart of Lead Hill, Ark., Austin Devine of Harrison, Andrew Devine of Harrison and Hayden Moore of Gassville; and four great-grandchild­ren, Jude Odegard, Brandon Halsey, Jacob Halsey and Kaylee Halsey. –––––❖––––– SEARCY — Eloise Quattlebau­m, 87, died Saturday, August 20, 2016. She was born February 1, 1929 in Searcy, Ark., the daughter of Gale and Ivy Simpson.

Eloise is survived by two sons, Johnny Quattlebau­m and wife Nancy, and Ritch Quattlebau­m and wife Karen; three grandchild­ren, Tori Coats and husband Craig, Matt Quattlebau­m and wife Cheri, and Graham Quattlebau­m; 12 great-grandchild­ren, Katherine and husband Josh, Lynlea, Lauren, Reid, Graham, Hollis, Brittany, Haley, Dawson, Alexis, Jordan and Clayton; two great-great-grandchild­ren, Jakob and Brooklyn; also three stepchildr­en, Carla Tipton, Rick and Ronnie Garrison. She is preceded in death by two husbands, Eudonald Quattlebau­m and Dewey “Cotton” Garrison; three brothers, Marlon, Roger and Sonny Simpson; and a grandson, John Richard Quattlebau­m.

–––––❖––––– SHERIDAN — Bentley Maverick Love of Sheridan, Arkansas was born February 4, 2014 in Benton, Ark., the son of Brandon Love and Holly King Love. He was a fearless little boy who never met a stranger. He loved to throw rocks and play with his friends.

Bentley died Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock at the age of 2 as the result of an accident. He was preceded in death by his great grandparen­ts, Forrest Arnold, Sam Allison, Otis Love, Jr. and Beverly Love.

Survivors include his father, Brandon Love of Sheridan; mother, Holly King Love of Little Rock; brother, Bryce Love of Sheridan; grandparen­ts, James and Sheryl Wagner, Jr. of Sheridan, Scott and Christy Love of Sheridan, Stacey and Jennifer King of Mountain Home, Traci King of Little Rock; great-grandmothe­r, Deanna Arnold of Sheridan, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and little friends.

–––––❖––––– WHITE HALL — Pamela Kay Christie Rosenwinke­l, 66, of White Hall, began a new life in Heaven on Saturday, August 20, 2016.

She was born October 18, 1949 in Gary, Ind., daughter of Clell and Joyce Thompson Christie. Pamela was reared and received her early education in Griffith, Ind., graduating from Griffith High School. She was a homemaker who loved spoiling her grandchild­ren by taking them on trips to Disney and playing with them in her pool. Mrs. Rosenwinke­l was an active member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Randy Rosenwinke­l, whom she married September 21, 1968 in Scherervil­le, Ind.; two daughters, Rhonda Garner and her husband, David, of White Hall, and Carrie Ashcraft and her husband, Billy, of Jefferson; two brothers, Kevin Christie and his wife, JoAnn, of Milton, Fla., and Steven Christie; and four grandchild­ren, Alexis Garner, Julianne Garner, Dewayne Ashcraft, and Jessica Ashcraft.
