Charles “Skip” Davidson
Finalist: Best Attorney
Charles “Skip” Davidson said the success of his law firm is the result of the hard work of all his employees, from the receptionist to his fellow attorneys.
Davidson Law Firm in Little Rock has been chosen as a finalist for Best Attorney in the Arkansas Democrat
Gazette’s Best of the Best readers’ poll. “It’s kind of humbling,” said Davidson, owner and managing partner. “I don’t get to be judged the best just on my own effort. It takes a lot of people. We have a lot of great clients, support staff and other lawyers, and we generally work as a team, so our success is a team effort.”
Davidson’s firm handles a variety of practice areas for businesses and individuals, including bankruptcy, contract negotiation, real estate, divorce and many more. He said one of the greater rewards of his practice is seeing the success of those he represents.
“Some of our clients are now second generation, maybe even third generation, of running businesses that we’ve represented,” he said. “It makes me proud of my clients’ success over several generations and the fact that people call us every day for help.”
Davidson Law Firm was founded in 1973 and has grown into one of the leading law firms in the state. The firm now has offices in Little Rock, Conway, Hot Springs and Hot Springs Village.
With more than 40 years in practice, Davidson said he and his team have the skills, experience and understanding to assist their clients with their legal needs. The staff also makes the effort to explain things in terms the client can understand, from the initial visit until the case is closed.
“By working hard and helping people through those legal challenges and opportunities and helping them understand the legal processes, whether it’s buying a business, foreclosing on a piece of property or a contract suit, it’s [ about] helping them understand,” he said.
Davidson also praised members of his staff and the hard work they do for their clients. He said that while his name is on the door, he understands that the staff’s dedication is what makes his firm one of the best.
“The staff is critical to the overall success because everybody is good at something, and everybody can’t be good at everything,” he said. “So we are able to divide up the tasks based on the particular individual.”
