Trump saying those parts aloud

-

Arecent New York Times article detailed how Donald Trump, if he won the 2024 election, would seize presidential control by executive power “over every part of the federal government that now operates.”

The frightening part of Trump is that he is saying the authoritarian and fascist parts out loud while speaking to his extremists and political base. It has to be said that a second Trump administration would be a presidential authoritarian rule. Trump’s revenge for his perceived “enemies” would rule all executive power.

Trump would rip apart and bring under executive control, the Department of Justice, FBI and the independence of the judicial branch — destroying in the process the federal government’s rule of law.

Trump would seek out sycophants where the only qualification for appointment would be total devotion to the leader. Gone would be his former loyalists who in the end refused to cross the unconstitutional line.

The final days of the first Trump administration would be a preview of what would come in the beginning of his second administration. Dictatorial executive orders and mass pardons would be signed on a daily basis from day one.

Trump’s recent inflammatory language is straight out of the European dictator playbook when he said, “We pledge to you that we will root out the communists, Marxists, fascists and the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country that lie and steal and cheat on elections.”

The comparison of Trump to the fascism of Europe in the 1920s and ’30s is qualified. In

Nazi Germany, Adolf Hitler and his Minister of Propaganda, Joseph Goebbels, and Benito Mussolini in Italy, attempted a consolidation of power before their reign, using the same fascist language that Trump uses now.

What Trump’s narcissism will not permit him to admit or comprehend is that the 2020 election was free and fair, as his staff and aides had told him.

Read and understand Trump’s words and take them seriously when he posted comments about the 2020 election: “A massive fraud of this type allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution.”

Trump is telling us that he will burn the house down in a scorched-earth of revenge. Neil McKinlay
