AVC Men’s Golf

GLENDALE — The Antelope Valley College men’s golf team finished sixth with a team score of 434 in a Western State Conference match and Oakmont Country Club on Monday.

Santa Barbara was first, followed by College of the Canyons and Glendale.

Justin Holt led the Marauders with a 79, while Brennen Boulger shot 82 and Trevor Hoffmeyer picked up an 84.

“We played from the tips and the greens were fast, which resulted in a higher than normal scoring average for all teams today,” AVC coach Brad Hazard said. “Was pleased to see Justin shoot his best round of the season and score in the 70s. He was striking the ball well off the tee and able to scramble to save par on many of the holes.”

AVC will compete in the 36-hole conference finals at Soule Park in Ojai next Monday.
