Genesis boys win 16 Regional medals
The Genesis Gymnastics boys team won 16 gold, silver and bronze medals at the Regional Championships where they competed against athletes from five other states earlier this month. In level 8, Derric Concepcion scored a 70.70 in the all-around for a sixthplace finish and medaled third on vault, and ninth on parallel bars. In level 7, JR Deocariza took second place in the all-around with a 61.65 and placed second on high bar, second on parallel bars, first on vault, first on rings and first on floor.

In level 7, JR Deocariza took second place in the all-around with a 61.65 and placed second on high bar, second on parallel bars, first on vault, first on rings and first on floor. Tyon Abeln also took second place in the all-around in level 7 in his division with a 58.45, placing second on high bar, third on parallel bars, first on rings and first on floor. Ray New scored a 53.25 and placed ninth on rings.
In level 6, Carlos DeLeon took fourth in the all-around with a 58.30, placing first on high bar, third on rings and seventh on vault and pommel horse. Adam Madrid scored a 54.90, placing fourth on high bar, and first on vault.
In level 5, Jonathan Lewelling scored a 57.70 to place ninth in the allaround, finishing seventh on high bar and first on vault. Teammate Charles Weathers scored a 53.25, placing fifth on parallel bars and ninth on floor.
