“The Little Mermaid”: Halle Bailey stars in this live-action version of the beloved animated Disney musical, with a supporting cast that includes Melissa McCarthy, Javier Bardem, Daveed Diggs and Awkwafina.

“Insidious: The Red Door”:

Patrick Wilson makes his directoria­l debut with this fifth installmen­t of the horror franchise, last visited in 2018’s “Insidious: The Last Key.”

“About My Father”: Comedian Sebastian Maniscalco wrote and stars in this comedy which finds Robert De Niro playing his father, an Italian immigrant who crashes a weekend get-together with his girlfriend and her parents.

“Ouija Shark 2”: All signs point to more over-the-top mayhem when the titular beast emerges from the nether regions once more.

“Sparkle: A Unicorn Tale”: A teen girl flees an orphanage with two other orphans and returns to her family’s farm, intending to save the animals from a nefarious neighbor when they discover a mythical creature now living on the property as well.
