John Howard

John Howard, beloved father and spouse, passed away on April 8, 2018 from a sudden illness. John was born on November 23, 1957 in Sommers, New York. He is preceded in death by his father, John Siwicki.

He is survived by spouse of 30-years, Bernard (Bernie) Logue Y Perea; his 12year old triplets, daughters Erin and Mia and son Kevin Patrick; his mother, Lois Siwicki of Marco Island, Florida; his brother, Gary Siwicki and wife Lena; as well as his closest cousin, Carol Allen and husband, George.

John graduated from Sommers High School in 1975. He completed his undergradu­ate work at UNM, graduating from UNM Law school. He very proud of his team win of a Moot Competitio­n while completing Law School.

John worked primarily in the area of personal injury and mass torts, representi­ng victims of defective products, including "phenphen" and "transvagin­al mesh." He also acted as class counsel in lawsuits involving reformatio­n of insurance policies to provided retroactiv­e rights to policyhold­ers.

John continued close friendship­s with many of his law friends and associates. He spoke highly of Geoff Romero of Albuquerqu­e and valued his associatio­n with him, Linda Hemphill of Santa Fe, and so many other great friends of his. He was wellrespec­ted by the New Mexico Bar Associatio­n.

John had a profound love of reading, art and interior design. He loved Bernie and his children very much, spending as much quality time with them as possible. He was very involved in their lives, focusing on their education and social values. John was a good man, always honest and moral in everything he did. This could also be seen in his children. His good heart and sensitivit­y were evident in the way his children mimicked his sense of humor and his love for "Motown" and The Supremes. They enjoyed dancing and singing along with him.

The kids are very sad and distraught and struggling with his loss. He left them, knowing Bernie would be the perfect dad for them, upon his passing. He was planning a trip for them to Disneyland this summer.

A celebratio­n of his life will be held at Rivera Family Funeral Home, 417 E. Rodeo Road, at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. Reception to follow at Elks Lodge on 1615 Old Pecos Trail, Santa Fe. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting contributi­ons for the children’s Disneyland adventure, 153 W. Zia Rd. 87505.
