Conley, Louis H.

Louis H. Conley, our loving father, went home to the Lord on February 14,

2017 with his daughter Pamela by his side to join his wife of 45 years and the love of his life, Lynn; his son, Vincent; his parents, Mildred and Earl Conley; his brother- in- law, Zip Zummo; and his nephew, Guy Zummo.

He is survived by his sister, Carlita Zummo; niece, Candice Zummo of Port Arthur, TX; his daughters, Pamela McConnell and her husband, Rich McConnell of Albuquerque NM, Tammy Earnest and her husband, Billy Earnest of Henderson NV; his son, Eric Webster and his wife, Michelle Webster of New Braunsfuels TX; his five grandchildren, Taryn Schlegel, Jefferson Hooten, Mackenzie Hooten, Kailyn Webster and Hailey Webster; along with great grandchildren, Jayden Schlegel and Kadie Schlegel; and his beloved Peanut Brittle, his furry four legged baby.

Born in 1932 in Iola, KS, Louis was such a kind hearted man who was nice to everyone he met. He was a fine Christian man and loved his family so much. He worked for Mountain Bell (which later became Qwest), a telephone company, for 40 years, retiring 25 years ago to enjoy a life of leisure with his wife. He loved to travel to Angel Fire, NM so he could feed the squirrels – one of which he named Chester. He would often fish at a pond nearby their condo. He loved to garden, which always had beautiful flowers and roses. He also had a small garden filled with his favorite veggies. He loved all sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys. A fierce advocate for animals, he actively supported the local Animal Humane Society and the ASPCA. Louis was a loving husband, father, brother, Papa and G-Pop to his family and cherished his friends and many others.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at FRENCH-Lomas. Interment of Cremains will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul NE, 87107.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial donations be made to the Animal Humane Society, 615 Virginia St. SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108 in Louis’ name so his love and desire to protect animals will live on.
