Uconn throttles Butler
Sanogo has 13 points and 15 rebounds to lead No. 25 Huskies in rout
Adama Sanogo scored 13 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead No. 25 Uconn over Butler 76-59 on Tuesday night in first of two games this week between the programs.
It was the third straight double-double for Sanago, who also blocked four shots. He was joined by Andre Jackson, who had 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Connecticut (12-4, 3-2 Big East), which returned to the top 25 this week for the first time since mid-december.
Other Huskies in double figures included R.J. Cole with 17 points, Jordan Hawkins with 14 and Tyler Polley with 10.
Baylor 77, West Virginia 68: LJ Cryer scored 25 points and No. 5 Baylor snapped a two-game losing streak.
Wisconsin 82, Northwestern 76: Johnny Davis scored 27 points to help No. 8 Wisconsin beat Northwestern .
Kansas 67, Oklahoma 64: Jalen Wilson scored 16 points, Christian Braun hit a tiebreaking 3-pointer with 10.9
seconds left and No. 7 Kansas defeated Oklahoma. Braun’s corner 3 gave the Jayhawks a 65-62 lead. They fouled Jordan Goldwire with 6.1 seconds remaining to prevent him from shooting a potential tying 3, and he made both free throws to make it 65-64. Braun then drained two at the other end with four seconds to go.
Houston 74, South Florida 55:
Kyler Edwards had 23 points and seven rebounds, Fabian White Jr. added 16 points and five rebounds, and No. 10 Houston (16-2, 5-0 American Athletic Conference) beat South Florida for its eighth straight win.
Texas Tech 72, Iowa State 60: Kevin Obanor scored 13 of his 15 points after halftime as 18th-ranked Texas Tech turned a close game into a rout over No. 15 Iowa State, giving the Red Raiders their third consecutive victory against a ranked opponent.
Ohio State 83, IUPUI 37: E.J. Liddell had 13 points and 10 rebounds, and No. 19 Ohio State never trailed.
Loyola (Ill.) 77, Evansville 48: Luke Williamson made five 3-pointers and scored 15 points, and No. 22 Loyola Chicago won its 10th straight game.
Kansas State 66, Texas 65: Mark Smith scored 22 points, Nijel Pack made a go-ahead layup with 1:13 left, and Kansas State held No. 23 Texas scoreless for the final 31⁄2 minutes .
Tennessee 68, Vanderbilt 60: Santiago Vescovi’s 14 points led No. 24 Tennessee.
Syracuse 91, Clemson 78: Buddy Boeheim scored 25 points, former Glens Falls standout Joseph Girard III added 23 and Syracuse (9-9, 3-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) never trailed in the second half and beat Clemson.

Duke 58, Miami 49: Miela Goodchild scored seven of her 17 points in the fourth quarter and No. 21 Duke beat Miami.
