blackhawks: Assistant Marc Crawford will be away from the team while it reviews his conduct with another organization. The Blackhawks didn’t provide any details Monday about what they are examining, but former NHL forward Sean Avery recently told the New York Post that Crawford kicked him after he was whistled for a too-manymen-on-the-ice penalty when he played for Crawford with the Los Angeles Kings during the 2006-07 season. The team said it will have no further comment until the review is completed. ... Chicago forward Andrew Shaw missed Monday night’s late game against the St. Louis Blues with an unspecified injury. Defenseman Duncan Keith missed his second straight game with a groin injury. Goaltender Kevin Lankinen was recalled on an emergency basis from Rockford to replace Robin Lehner, who is ill. penguins: Pittsburgh signed forward Stefan Noesen to a two-way contract. Canadiens: Montreal great Guy Lafleur had additional surgery, just two months removed from quadruple bypass heart surgery in late September. The team disclosed the Nov. 28 procedure at the request of Lafleur’s family and said it removed a lobe on one of his lungs, as well lymph nodes. The statement said the operation was successful and Lafleur would return home in coming days to continue his recovery. The 68-year-old Lafleur had heart surgery Sept. 26. Lafleur helped the Canadiens win the Stanley Cup five times. In 1,126 career NHL games from 1971 to 1991, the Hockey Hall of Famer had 1,353 points (560 goals and 793 assists) and became the first player in history to score at least 50 goals and 100 points in six consecutive seasons.

red Wings: Forward Johan Franzen has told Swedish media Mike Babcock, is “the worst person I have ever met.” In an interview with Expressen, Franzen described Babcock as a great coach, “but he’s a terrible person, the worst I ever met. He’s a bully who was attacking people. It could be a cleaner at the arena in Detroit or anybody. He would lay into people without any reason.” Asked if a player ever came to him and accused Babcock of abusive behavior, former Wings general manager Ken Holland told the Free Press, “no. The answer is no.” Franzen also confirmed a story Chris Chelios revealed during Monday’s episode of the podcast, “Spittin’ Chiclets.” The incident happened during Game 5 of the Wings’ 2012 playoff series against Nashville. “Some of the things he (Babcock) said to him (Franzen) on the bench, I don’t know what he said to him behind closed doors one-onone, but he blatantly verbally assaulted him during the game on the bench,” Chelios said. “It got to the point where poor Johan, no one really knowing he was suffering with the concussion thing and the depression thing, he just broke down and had nervous breakdown, not only on the bench but after the game in one of the rooms in Nashville. “It was probably one of the worst things I’ve ever seen.”

James Ennis III hit a 3 and dropped for three pushups, and Tobias Harris scored 26 points to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to a 103-94 win over the Utah Jazz on Monday night.

Al Horford scored 17 points to help the Sixers win for the eighth time in nine games and improve to 10-0 at home. A night after the Raptors led the Jazz by 40 points at halftime, the Sixers led by a more modest 18 points at the break — a cushion needed late to secure the win against Utah.

Ennis, Philly ’s super sub, had the crowd going wild in the first half when he was fouled on a 3 and did three quick pushups to stretch the lead to 26 points. Ennis missed the
