A weekly look at this past week’s top performers: claire hutton, Bethlehem girls’ soccer: An eighth- grader, Hutton netted four goals to help propel the Eagles past Schenectady 7- 0, produced three goals and one assist in a 7- 0 verdict over Columbia and tallied two goals and one assist in a 6- 0 triumph over Troy. syd haskin, averill Park girls’ soccer: Produced a trio of goals to power the Warriors past Burnt Hills 3- 2.
Teagan Breton, cchs girls’ soccer: Tallied all five of her team’s goals in leading the Crusaders to a 5- 0 Colonial Council victory against Albany Academy for Girls. ashley cirilla, schalmont girls’ soccer: Delivered four goals and four assists in an 11- 3 verdict against CCHS, tallied two goals and one assist in a 10- 0 victory over Cobleskill and netted two goals and added two assists in an 11- 0 win vs. Albany Academy for Girls. sofia cassano, schalmont girls’ soccer: Finished with 10 goals and eight assists to help the Sabres win three games.
Tyler clute, saratoga boys’ soccer: Scored in the second overtime to lift the Blue Streaks to a 2- 1 triumph over CBA and netted a goal in a 1- 0 victory against Averill Park. isaac cutler, stillwater boys’ soccer: Netted four goals and added one assist as the Warriors defeated Berlin/ New Lebanon 7- 1. Lens Lima, Mekeel christian academy boys’ soccer: Generated four goals to lead the Lions to a 5- 2 win over Bishop Gibbons. Leonni griffin, shaker girls’ cross country: The eighth- grader defended her Division I title at the Grout Run, this time covering the 2.75- mile Central Park course in 15 minutes. 25.71 seconds. gillian Roeder, Bethlehem girls’ cross country: Captured the title in the Division II race at the Grout Run in 15: 50.63.
Tess Fitzmaurice, greenville girls’ cross country: Crossed the line in first place in the Grout Run’s Class C race ( 15: 58.39). gitch hayes, La salle boys’ cross country: The sophomore prevailed in the Division I race at the Grout Run in 13: 40.12. shazim Permaul, schenectady boys’ cross country: Permaul became the first
Schenectady runner to win at the Grout Run by taking top honors in Division II ( 13: 41.92). hannah Risko, guilderland field hockey: Scored all three in a 3- 1 win against Burnt Hills. Lianna sullivan, Burnt hills field hockey: Scored in the second half to lift the Spartans past Shenendehowa 1- 0.
Taryn Ringer, Johnstown field hockey: The junior scored three times to lift the Lady Bills to a 3- 1 win over Schuylerville.
Billy Beach, shenendehowa football: Produced a trio of third- quarter touchdowns ( a 59- yard TD run and scoring catches covering 38 and 39 yards) to help the Plainsmen register a 35- 13 road victory over Guilderland. Xavier Leigh, Troy football: Rushed for 317 yards and four touchdowns as the Flying Horses soared to a 34- 20 win at Averill Park. Joe Tortello, holy Trinity football: Completed 14 of 17 passes for 342 yards and five touchdowns in a 49- 28 victory over Cambridge/ Salem.
Noah Foster, holy Trinity football: Caught seven passes for 175 yards and three touchdowns in a 49- 28 win against Cambridge/ Salem.
Team of the week greenwich girls’ cross country: The Witches’ top five runners finished between third and ninth place to edge out Shaker for the Division I team title at the Grout Run.
