Let’s smash it in 2018!

-

WELCOME to 2018. Welcome to another year and another January where we always see the same things.. Gyms will be packed, diets will start, training programs will be signed up to, promises will be made, public declarations set… and so it goes on and on and on.

Do you know what… I LOVE THIS as it shows action.

Taking action is the key but before we take action I honestly believe that we should sit down and ask ourselves as many questions as possible.

I am going to keep this first column of the year very, very simple as I am going to just list a massive number of questions I want you ask yourself when it comes to smashing 2018.

By now you will know that I coach my clients in a very unique way. I use health and fitness and accountability as a driver to smash life and smash life moving forward.

Most of my clients come in to sort one issue normally related to their bodies and we then do that while also smashing everything else in their life too… pretty cool, hey?

So Chris, what questions should I be asking myself before I embark on my next adventure?

Well first let’s hear what David K William

(Life Questioning expert) states about questions and self-reflection: “The Law of Cause and

Effect states that if you put out good thoughts accompanied by good actions, you will receive good things. Asking yourself thought-provoking questions cultivates good thoughts and allows for self-reflection. It helps you maintain a conscious awareness of where you are, where you have been and where you intend to go.

“Through self-reflection you are able to see, organise and preserve your dreams, desires and goals. This conscious awareness is vital in life and opens doors for many good things to come your way.”

So what are we waiting for Chris I hear you say… give me that list of questions:

Who am I really?

What worries me most about the future? If this were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?

What am I scared of?

What matters most in my life?

Have I done anything lately worth remembering?

Have I made someone smile today?

What have I given up on?

When did I last push the boundaries of my comfort zone?

If I had to instil one piece of advice in a newborn baby’s mind, what advice would I give?

What small act of kindness was I once shown that I will never forget?

What do I need to change about myself? How many of my friends would I trust with my life?

Who has had the greatest impact on my life? What do I want most in my life?

What is life calling of me?

Which is worse, failing or never trying? What’s the one thing I’d like others to remember about me at the end of my life?

To what degree have I actually controlled the course my life has taken?

How am I feeling right now?

Did I achieve what I set out to achieve last year?

How am I feeling about the day ahead?

What can I accept that I can’t change?

What would scare me slightly that I could do today?

What caused me the most inner stress and conflict last year?

Does it move me towards the boldest, most grand vision I have for myself? What should I start?

What should I stop?

What should I do more of?

What should I do less of?

What were your biggest failings or mistakes this past year – health wise – that were preventable or avoidable?

What were your biggest health problems that were not preventable or avoidable – and how did you respond?

Which food consistently has the worst effect on you? How does it make you feel (or look, or perform)?

What concrete step or steps will you take to fulfill a more abstract resolution?

Why are you where you are?

How will you hold yourself accountable? What are you willing to do to change?

What are you physically unable to do (comfortably) that you’d like to be able to do (comfortably)?

What, or who, stands in your way?

If you could do anything with your life, and money was no object, what would you do?

What did I accomplish last year?

What do I want to accomplish this year? What do I want to accomplish in the first quarter of next year?

What do I want to accomplish next month? What were your wins last year?

What did you learn about yourself last year? What are your current goals?

What habits do you need to work on?

I think they should keep you busy for a while. So like I said, welcome to 2018.

Let’s start the year the right way and with a questioning approach.

Knowledge is having the right answer. Intelligence is asking the right question.

Today… I want you to ask those questions… Next week I am going to talk about my pet hate… Body Transformations.

However I am also going to talk about something no one else is doing (that is super awesome that only I and my clients do) and that my friend is that of Build Optimisation.

Until next week.

Let’s smash 2018 together!
