The remaining siblings of 1970s pop group The Nolan Sisters are re-forming for Quest Red’s eight-part series The Nolans Go Cruising. Anne, Linda, Maureen and Coleen let their hair down on a cruise around the Mediterran­ean, where they’ll definitely be ‘in the mood for dancing’.

When psychologi­cal thriller The Deceived begins on Channel 5, look out for Emily Reid, recently seen in Belgravia. She plays student Ophelia, who falls in love with her lecturer, until a shocking death changes everything.

Steve Backshall faces deadly sharks in his new series on Sky Nature. Shark with Steve Backshall follows the naturalist as he celebrates the most feared and misunderst­ood sea predators, and explores what can be done to save them.

Reese Witherspoo­n will star in Netflix romantic comedy The Cactus, based on a bestsellin­g novel. It follows a fiercely independen­t 45-yearold, whose unexpected pregnancy forces her to rethink her ordered way of life.

The BAFTA TV Awards is on BBC1 on 31 July, having been postponed due to the coronaviru­s pandemic, with comedy star Richard Ayoade as host. It will be a ceremony with a difference, though, with nominees on hand to accept awards virtually.

Hollywood star Winona Ryder plays Evelyn Finkel in Sky Atlantic’s The Plot Against America. The drama imagines an alternate 1940s America when Charles Lindbergh (Ben Cole) becomes US President and turns the nation towards fascism.
