How they rated
KRISTOFFER NORDFELDT
Made a couple of good saves and claims but he does continue to cause some consternation with his footwork, and played others into trouble on occasions.
JOE RODON
Probably one of his toughest afternoons since coming into the side, not helped by a system where Swansea looked ill at ease. Once Swansea switched to a more familiar line-up he was noticeably more comfortable and assured.
MIKE VAN DER HOORN
Looked very uncomfortable in the early going with Swansea’s defenders visibly unsure over who to pick up on occasions. Struggled with distribution with lack of options ahead of him but grew in stature.
CIAN HARRIES
A tough Championship baptism, but not really his fault. Swansea never looked solid with three at the back and when they switched to four at the back the former Villa youngster found himself out of position at left-back.
CONNOR ROBERTS
Given a real test by the speed of Adomah and Bolasie, which forced some errors we have not seen from the Wales international, but battled through it. Will feel he should have equalised.
JAY FULTON
Will look back at the three chances he failed to convert and know he should have done better. Like Fer, he lacked accuracy on the ball and was adrift during the first 45 minutes but improved after the break.
LEROY FER
His first start since the win at Millwall and is working back to full fitness, but no denying he was poor here. Swansea needed more from him. He was robbed of the ball far too often and invited pressure.
BARRIE MCKAY
A fitful display where there were nice touches but also a number of errors.
BERSANT CELINA
Looked the most likely to make something happen for Swansea and nearly found the bottom corner at one point. Does make errors but not afraid to take risks in order to create.
OLI MCBURNIE
Had very little to work with in terms of service. There was some nice link-up work when given the chance but was a peripheral figure for long spells. Came to life as Swansea finally offered a threat.
