An international online furniture company has opened its first showroom in the Welsh capital.

Cardiff-based Trendy Products describes its new venture, a short walk from the St David’s Hotel in Cardiff Bay, as a “digital concept showroom”.

The company has been trading online for more than 10 years and has built a national customer base in the UK and Italy.

Founded in 2007 by Welsh businesswoman Karen Bucceri, Trendy Products works with some of the top European brands, particularly focusing on Made in Italy collections as well as world-class brands from Germany, Spain, Portugal and the UK.

Strong partnerships have been developed with furniture brands including Aleal, Compar, Tonin casa, Mab, Temahome, Fama, Germania and Target Point.

Trendy Products offers a wide range of luxury furniture for the living room, bedroom, dining room, hallway and home office as well as a modern accessory collection, ranging from mirrors to eco-friendly wall art.

Mrs Bucceri said: “Trendy Products boasts an international team of marketing experts, copywriters, orders administrators, customer relation advisors and interior designers to help customers make the right choice when it comes to selecting furniture for their home, we appreciate this is important as furniture makes a home.”

The new showroom is designed to give customers the ability to browse through more than 10,000 products online in a state of the art customer browsing area.

In addition to being able to see and touch products in the showroom, they can also access the websites in the comfort of the showroom while the sales team goes through the features of items on and offline.

Sales and operations director Rufus Bowen said: “It is a real milestone for Trendy Products to be opening our first digital concept showroom in our home city of Cardiff.

“For the last 10 years, we have been building our brand online, successfully developing a large, international customer base in the UK and Italy, with over a million customer visits a month to our international websites allowing us to showcase over 100 designer furniture brands from across Europe and the UK.

“The digital showroom concept will allow customers to view products in the showroom, as well as expand their search with our products selection on both websites. This is the first of its kind in Cardiff and the plan is to roll further showrooms out across the UK in years to come.”

After qualifying in Cardiff and then working with high-end design firms and designers in London, certified interior designer Grace Jones plays now a pivotal role as part of the Trendy Products team; where she offers a tailored interior design service which includes a personal telephone design consultation, the creation of digital mood boards and individual furniture recommendations.

Ms Jones said: “Here at Trendy Products, we pride ourselves on having many beautiful and highly personalised brands… This means that with many of our brands, we can help our customers design their dream home by selecting their favourite finish, colour or furniture module and making it totally customisable to them.

“We work with a CAD [computer aided design] system to make sure we can turn our customers’ ideas into 3D plans and help them visualise their next piece of luxury furniture in their home.”

The new showroom will host a selection of some of Trendy Products world-class brands along with own-branded Trendy Products furniture.
