(Coniston Road and Windermere Road, Patchway) (Temporary Prohibitio­n of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucester­shire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporaril­y, to vehicles the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with gas main upgrade works. The order became operative from 1 July 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemente­d for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitat­ed by the works which are anticipate­d to be of a 4 week duration. Schedule: 1. Coniston Road, Patchway – from Gloucester Road north westwards for 100m; 2. Windermere Road, Patchway – from Coniston Road south westwards for 40m Alternativ­e routes: 1a. Highwood Road, Hayes Way, Gloucester Road and vice versa; 1b. Lower Thirlmere Road; 2. Durban Road, Rodway Road and vice versa

(Temporary Prohibitio­n of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucester­shire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporaril­y, to vehicles the entire length of Braemar Crescent. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with lead replacemen­t works. The order will be operative from 22 July 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemente­d for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitat­ed by the works which are anticipate­d to be of 4 days duration.

Alternativ­e route: (Park Lane, Frampton Cotterell) (No.2) (Temporary Prohibitio­n of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucester­shire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporaril­y, to vehicles, that length of Park Lane which extends from Park Avenue southwards for 200m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with gas main upgrade works. The order will be operative from 22 July 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemente­d for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitat­ed by the works which are anticipate­d to be of 6 weeks duration. Alternativ­e route: Badminton Road, Beesmoor Road, Heather Avenue and vice versa

(Bowling Road, Chipping Sodbury) (Temporary Prohibitio­n of Use by Foot Passengers) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucester­shire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporaril­y, to foot passengers that length of the Bowling Road southbound footway which extends from a point adjacent to property No.53 Bowling Road southwards for its entire length. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with footway reconstruc­tion works. The order will be operative from 22 July 2024 for a maximum period of six months. The closure however may not be implemente­d for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitat­ed by the works which are anticipate­d to be of 3 weeks duration. Alternativ­e route: Northwards to Lilliput Court cul-de-sac, across the pedestrian crossing point, southwards along the other side of the road, under the bridge and southwards to the zebra crossing

(Various Roads, Various Wards – Resurfacin­g and Reconstruc­tion) (Temporary Prohibitio­n of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucester­shire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to:- a) close, temporaril­y, to Vehicles the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice; and b) suspend, temporaril­y, when signs are covered, the South Gloucester­shire Council (Various Roads, District of Northavon – Second Severn Crossing) (Weight Restrictio­n Zone) (Prohibitio­n of Heavy Commercial Vehicles of Over 7.5 Tonnes Maximum Gross Weight) (Uni-Directiona­l Weight Restrictio­n) Order 1996 in so far as it relates to the lengths of road specified in Schedule 2 to this notice to facilitate the alternativ­e routes for heavy vehicles; and c) suspend, temporaril­y, when signs are covered, the South Gloucester­shire Council (Abson Road, Abson) (Prohibitio­n of Heavy Commercial Vehicles Over 7.5 Tonnes Maximum Gross Weight) Order 2006 in so far as it relates to the lengths of road specified in Schedule 3 to this order is hereby suspended, temporaril­y, for the duration of this order. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with works to resurface and reconstruc­t the carriagewa­y. The order will be operative from 11 July 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The restrictio­ns however may not be implemente­d for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitat­ed by the works which are anticipate­d to be of 10 nights duration, between the hours of 8pm and 6am, in respect of each location.
