Blackpool every year – it’s the beating heart of ballroom dancing, with a connection stretching back nearly a century.

This documentary is the behindthe-scenes story of Latin and ballroom in the seaside town.

Once a year, the best dancers from across the world arrive to take part in the British Open Championships at the Blackpool Dance Festival.

There are tears and triumphs, as well as stilettos, injuries and a gallon of fake tan as the cameras follow the hopefuls and their Blackpool dreams.

We also meet 16-time World Champion Donnie Burns, from Scotland, known as the King of Latin, and Brit Richard Porter who coached Strictly Stars like James Jordan, Neil Jones and Katya and Amy Dowden.
