Citizens Advice Bureau have outreach surgeries in Blackridge. A new project has been created and is aimed at pregnant women and families with young children to assist with the diverse and changing circumstan­ces of parenthood. Paper craft Classes are held in the Craiginn Centre on Monday morning from 9.30am. There are some places available if you are interested.

Access2emp­loyment is a free employabil­ity service run by West Lothian Council supporting local people into employment, training or education. Experience­d advisers are located in the Craiginn Centre on Tuesdays from 2pm till 4.30pm and Fridays by appointmen­t only. You can book an appointmen­t free on 0800 032 9768.

Church Coffee mornings are held in the church on the last Thursday of each month from 10am.

Time Out Art class meet in the Craiginn Centre on Tuesdays from 6pm.

Library Opening times Monday from 9.30am till 3.30pm, Tuesday 5pm till 9pm, Thursday 2pm till 6.30pm. Teas and coffees are available after morning worship each Sunday. Service begins at 10 a.m. All welcome. A new session of the Church Fellowship will begin on Tuesday, September 5, at 2pm in the church. The speaker for that day will be Rev Julia Wiley. Tea/ coffee served after the meeting. All welcome. Monday Club were guests of Alex Kennedy this week, enjoying a walk round his garden and afternoon tea. This was greatly appreciate­d by all who attended. Flower festival in the Forrest Memorial Hall, Harthill, on Friday, August 25, from 1-4pm, August 26 from 10am-1pm, and August 27 from 2-5 p.m. Teas and coffees will be available on each day.
