White off as he seals move to Wrexham:
Striker Jordan White became the first of Livingston’s out of contract players to sign elsewhere for next season as the 24-year-old moved to National League side Wrexham.
White signed for Livi prior to the 2014-15 campaign after a highly successful spell with Stirling Albion.
He was the club’s top goalscorer in both of his seasons in West Lothian, totalling 31 goals in 88 appearances during his stay in the Championship, including a memorable double at Cowdenbeath in the latter stages of his first season that helped spark Livi’s successful survival bid.
The 6’4’’frontman tweeted: “Would like to thank @ LiviFCOfficial for everything, players, staff and fans have been brilliant for me and wish them all the best.”
Courier Sport understands that White turned down a number of Scottish Championship sides in a bid to try his luck south of the border and he will be viewed as the main man to fire the Welsh club’s bid to return to the Football League next season.
While the striker leaves the Tony Macaroni Arena, three of the club’s top under-17 players have been handed full-time contracts.
Cameron White, Craig Reid and Jack Ogilvie have penned pro deals and will be part of the Development League side as well as being given the opportunity to push for places in the first team.
And the club have also appointed Ross Ballantyne as goalkeeping coach after he left fellow League One side Albion Rovers, where he held the same position.
During his spell at Cliftonhill, the club won the League Two title, reached the Scottish Cup quarter-final and achieved their highest ever league placing.
