A CHILD bereavement charity has teamed up with a shopping centre to create a work of art where people can design a feather and write a dedication to someone they’ve lost.

Halo Children’s Foundation, based in Hillingdon, a local bereavement charity has set up the angel artwork at intu Uxbridge, placed on the wall just outside Debenhams.

Everyone is invited anyone to colour, design and dedicate a feather to a loved one who has passed away.

Year 6 pupils from Cowley St Lawrence CE Primary joined Halo supporters to place their feathers on the angel wings.

This term the children have been studying death in their religious education lessons so the to make their own dedications was a very poignant.

Halo is a charity supporting bereaved children and their families so they do not have to grieve alone and one of the only support groups like it in the area, many of the children Halo supports have lost a parent but it could be a sibling and grandparent or other loved one.

Anyone can dedicate a feather on the wall by asking one of the intu centre managers – or visit the Kids Club.

For more information on Halo for support or guidance with your own grief and loss, you can visit www.halochildrensfoundation.org.uk

The charity holds a monthly fun group where children can mix, play and develop with others going through a similar grief. intu Uxbridge has selected Halo Children’s Foundation as its chosen charity for 2018
