The Shadow Factory at Nuffield Southampton Theatres City (023-8067 1771). Howard Brenton’s “ambitious and absorbing” Second World War drama, about Southampton’s response to the bombing of its Spitfire factory in 1940, returns to City (Times). With Catherine Cusack. Ends 2 March.
The Son at Kiln Theatre, London NW6 (0207328 1000). The heralded French playwright Florian Zeller ( The Father and The Mother) strikes again with this drama about a teenager dealing with his parents’ divorce. Ends 6 April.
John Ruskin: The Power of Seeing
at Two Temple Place, London WC2 (twotempleplace.org). A “unique” exhibition marking the 200th anniversary of the birth of the critic, geologist and reformer (FT). Ends 22 April. A version of the show is at the Millennium Gallery, Sheffield, from 29 May-15 September (museums-sheffield.org.uk).
