Frosty star t to the morning with bright, sunny skies. Through the day cloud will build in Northern Ireland and Western Isles. Warmest temperatur­es of 4C in south of England while Scotland will struggle to get above freezing. Overnight temperatur­es will fall to between –1 and –12C. Cold weather continues, although slightly milder in Scotland. Cloud in western areas. Spells of rain, sleet and snow tracking eastward through the day. Max temps during the day –3 and – 6C, falling as low as – 9C overnight. Areas with lying snow could be far colder. Yet another chilly day with temperatur­es across Britain ranging from 6 to – 2C. An unsettled day with some snow spells and wintery showers. Scotland could experience significan­t snowfall. Overnight temperatur­es across the UK will be between 0 and –8C. A more settled day with scattered wintry showers. Milder in Scotland with temperatur­es across the UK between 0 and 8C. Rain expected across many parts of the UK. Temperatur­es overnight are not expected to fall much below –1C overnight as the freezing conditions ease.
