Leaders BAYERN MUNICH dropped two points in the Bundesliga when they had to come from behind to earn a draw at UNION BERLIN. Union scored early thanks to Grischa Promel’s glancing header from a corner. Robert Lewandowski (pictured) levelled with his 13th goal of the season, tapping in from Kingsley Coman’s pass. Bayern have now won just once in four league games, and stay ahead of RB LEIPZIG, but only on goal difference. Leipzig earlier defeated WERDER BREMEN 2-0. Both goals came in the first half.

Marcel Sabitzer opened from the penalty spot on 26 minutes after Ludwig Augustinsson had fouled Yussuf Poulsen, then Dani Olmo doubled the lead just before the interval, collecting Poulsen’s pass to slot past Jiri Pavlenka from 10 yards.

Both sides can be overtaken today by BAYER LEVERKUSEN, who face HOFFENHEIM.

■ In La Liga, VALENCIA drew 2-2 with visiting ATLETICO BILBAO in a mid-table clash.

A penalty converted by Carlos Suker gave Valencia the lead on 26 minutes, with the visitors levelling 10 minutes after the interval thanks to Asier Villalibre. Bilbao went in front through Raul Garcia on 79 minutes, but the lead lasted just four minutes as Manu Vallejo rescued a point for the home side.

■ In Ligue 1, MARSEILLE slotted into second spot in the table after a 2-1 home win over MONACO. Marseille looked to be cruising, scoring two by the 13th minute through Florian Thauvin and Dario Benedetto. However, the visitors made them sweat with Wissam Ben Yedder’s penalty conversion with 11 minutes remaining. Marseille are a point behind Paris St Germain, who entertain Lyon today. Fourth-placed Lyon can go top if they beat PSG.
