How they played

- By Sean Hamilton

FRASER FORSTER (6)

Had such a quiet first half he needed a five-minute solo warm-up before the start of the second 45. Not at fault for Kamberi’s goal.

JEREMIE FRIMPONG (7)

The Dutch youngster buzzed relentlessly up and down Celtic’s left flank. Capable of lighting up a game.

CHRISTOPHER JULLIEN (7)

Took an elbow to the head from Doidge in the fourth minute but recovered well. Characteristically solid in the air.

KRISTOFFER AJER (7)

Strode forward in possession at will in the first half. Found himself briefly under pressure after Hibs notched their second, but kept his cool well.

BOLI BOLINGOLI (6)

His mistake led to Hibs’ first goal ( JONNY HAYES 45, 5 – Showed pace in flashes but lacked control in front of goal).

SCOTT BROWN (9)

Outmuscled Stevenson in the six-yard box to prod home Celtic’s fourth before revelling in the Hoops’ fans’ adulation. Showed persistence to claim a second at the death.

JAMES FORREST (6)

Picked out Elyounoussi with pinpoint accuracy for Celtic’s first (HATEM ABD ELHAMED 67, 5 – Arrived during Hibs’ brief spell in the ascendency, but coped well).

TOM ROGIC (6)

A quiet, yet effective showing from the Australian. (RYAN CHRISTIE 79, 4 – An energetic late cameo).

CALLUM MCGREGOR (7)

Hibs’ midfielders could not live with his work rate. Took his goal superbly.

MOHAMED ELYOUNOUSSI (8)

His ghosting inside runs off the left flank earned him two first half goals from Edouard’s impeccable set-up work.

ODSONNE EDOUARD (7)

Used his pace to set up Celtic’s first and his power and trickery to put their third on a plate for Elyounoussi.

Unused subs: Gordon (GK); Bitton; Johnston; Ntcham.
