Positive jobs news as TMT set to recruit 15 new staff
TECHNOLOGY repair specialist TMT First is creating even more jobs after winning a number of new contracts. Chesterton-based TMT First almost doubled its workforce in 2020, creating 50 new jobs after seeing a boom in demand for its repair services during the pandemic.
Now the company, which is based in Holditch Road, is looking to recruit an additional 15 staff to help meet the increasing demand – and take its workforce to 130.
The latest vacancies include full-time roles for trainee and experienced repair technicians – who can help to fix mobile phones, laptops and other gadgets, as well as order processors and management.
Experienced Apple repair technicians are particularly in demand.
TMT First CEO Adam Whitehouse, who set up the business in 2006, said: “TMT First are excited to offer these newly-created job roles at a time when our local economy really needs some positive news.

TMT First is an authorised Samsung repair centre whose clients include the NHS, police forces across England, Government departments and mobile device insurance companies.
As well as repairs, the company also offers secure data wipe, configuration and quality control services from its state-of-the-art repair centre at its Holditch House base.
At the start of this year, TMT First launched a training academy to bring more than 20 new trainee engineers into the business. The initiative forms part of the company’s ambitious growth plans which will eventually see it expand into a larger space at its existing headquarters.
