Donnacha will know all our secrets admits O’Mahoney

-

SIMON Zebo starts at fullback for Munster against the club he will join in the summer as the Irishmen look to seal the double over the Parisians.

Munster beat their French opponents 14-7 when the sides met at Thomond Park in October and lead Racing by four points going into the final two sets of fixtures.

Former Munster favourite Donnacha Ryan lines up at lock for Racing with a point to prove having been left out of the Ireland squad since his switch to France.

Munster captain Peter O’Mahoney, who returns after being an unused replacement against Connacht, is well aware of Ryan’s threat in the setpiece but says there are no plans to change the calling structure despite his former team-mate’s inside knowledge.

“Donners knows what we do but we haven’t changed anything,” he said.

“It’s still split second stuff, so even I was given a (opposition) line-out call it would be very hard to react as quickly as someone who knows what they’re doing. You just have to be good at it.”

Munster coach Johann van Graan makes four changes to the side from last week. Stephen Archer starts at tighthead, O’Mahoney comes in on the blindside while Billy Holland and Chris Cloete both start, having passed their return-to-play protocols arising from head injuries.

No.8 CJ Stander is gearing up for a titanic battle against one of Europe’s strongest packs.

He said: “They really have an unbelievable pack, very physical and without doubt one of the most powerful in the competition.

“And they now have a very good mix, with backs who can create try-scoring opportunities from the least amount of possession.

“They are one of the most complete teams in the competition and we will have to be at the top of our game in every area.”
