Jack has eye on four out of four at United

-

New Rothes manager Ross Jack can make it four wins from four starts but will be without two key players for this afternoon’s home game against Wick Academy.

Striker Steven Anderson has work commitments and midfielder Gregg Main is unavailable and it’s a very late call on midfielder Fraser Robertson who damaged the back of his knee at training on Wednesday night.

Jack said: “We would love to keep our winning run going but we know it will be another very tough game against a Wick team that played out of their skins in the second half against Huntly.”

Wick manager Tom McKenna said: “I’m expecting a competitive game played at high tempo, Rothes are doing well so we have to ensure we’re mentally focused and prepared to work hard.”

Wick are without injured Grant Steven, Marc Macgregor and Gordy Clarke.

Turriff United will try to bounce back after Wednesday’s 3-0 defeat against Deveronvale when Forres Mechanics visit.

Assistant manager Graeme Mathieson said: “We were really disappointed at the Vale result as we had two really good chances before they scored. We know we can’t make the same defensive errors against Forres.”

Mechanics’ manager Charlie Rowley said: “We’re expecting a tough game at Turriff as they will be looking for a reaction after that midweek derby defeat.”

Forres will give late fitness tests to twins Lee and Graham Fraser.

Inverurie Locos and Keith – who will miss honeymooning Jamie McAllister and maybe Grant Thompson who will have a late fitness test – face each other at Harlaw Park.
