KIZZI GOES FROM HERO TO VILLAIN FOR RICAY

- By Ryan Bratley

BILLERICAY TOWN came from two goals down at half time to bag a brilliant victory at Oxford City.

The opening half hour was evenly matched before the game burst into life in the 36th minute, when Kabby Tshimanga capitalised on a mix-up between Lloyd Doyley and Ricay goalkeeper Alan Julian, which allowed the striker to dribble the ball into the net unchallenged.

Julian made amends for his part in the opener with an excellent save to deny Brandon ThomasAsante shortly before half time, but the Hoops were able to double their lead going into the break as Tshimanga finished coolly from a tight angle.

The visitors came out firing in the second half and drew level within a quarter of an hour.

Moses Emmanuel’s half volley from 12 yards found the bottom corner, before Joel Dielna’s calamitous defending allowed Jamar Loza to lob Craig King.

City’s self-destruction was complete in the 68th minute as Joe Kizzi powered home a free header, though the goalscorer’s booking for his celebration would haunt him as he picked up a second yellow minutes later.

The hosts struggled to get back in it until stoppage time, hitting post and bar in a crazy tensecond scramble before Thomas-Asante had a goal ruled out for offside. STAR MAN: Kabby Tshimanga (Oxford City) ENTERTAINMENT: ★★★★★
