RYAN LOWE said it was ‘a hard one to take’, after his Bury side were held by Crawley. Nicky Maynard looked to have won it for the hosts in the 84th minute, only for Ollie Palmer to stun Gigg Lane with just two minutes left on the clock.

GRIMSBY 3 NEWPORT 0

JORDAN COOK scored two for Michael Jolley’s Grimsby. Mickey Demetriou’s own goal completed the scoring, while Wes Thomas also missed a first-half penalty for the hosts.

EXETER 3 MK DONS 1

PAUL TISDALE’S return to Exeter City ended in a nightmare as two goals from Nicky Law and one from Jake Taylor saw off his MK Dons side, who pulled one back through Joe Walsh. Tisdale said: ‘It was dreadful conditions for football.’
