DANIEL STENDEL said his Barnsley side should have scored more and they ‘can save the goals for the next match’. Alex Mowatt and Cameron McGeehan clinched the win.

ETHAN HAMILTON’S winner lifted Rochdale out of relegation zone, adding to what manager Keith Hill called a ‘winning week’. Ethan Ebanks-Landell had put the visitors in front, but Walsall levelled with a superb goal from Joe Edwards.

MANAGER Darren Ferguson’s Peterborou­gh homecoming was ruined by Ruben Lameiras superb 88th-minute winner. Lee Tomlin was sent off for the hosts in firsthalf stoppage time. ‘It made it difficult for us,’ Ferguson said.

ON-LOAN Ched Evans struck the only goal, and Joey Barton is relieved to still have him as a Fleetwood player. ‘Having Ched Evans in our team makes us a better team,’ Barton said.
