What is it?

An in-car mount with wireless charging for iPhone 7 and upwards.

Typically, smartphone mounts can be a tad hit or miss due to varying vehicle layouts and designs. One way to minimise incompatibility headaches is by opting for devices with multi-fitting options.

Moshi’s SnapTo Magnetic Car Mount is one such gadget giving you the choice of either a vent clip attachment or a sticky dashboard pillar.

Good Points?

Both methods of installation are quick and simple to implement. The pivoting balljointed platform which holds the smartphone in place allows for most viewing angles and can be easily transferred to a car vent or the pillar attached to the dashboard with 3M industrial strength adhesive.

The magnetised platform holds the smartphone snuggly thanks to the case (which is sold separately unless you opt for the bundle pack).

Fast charging of up to 10 watts ensures you can continue to use your phone on long journeys and achieve a replenished battery by the time you reach your destination.

Bad points?

The charging cable connected to the power source is USB-only so older vehicles will need a power socket-to-USB-adapter.

Best for ...

Those who simply want to get in their car and go without having to faff about with cables or adjust holding clamps.

Avoid if ...

You prefer to be distraction-free while driving. We can all respect that. Score: 9/10.
