Kirstie and Phil’s Love It or List It: Brilliant Builds

Channel 4, 8pm

It’s been a short but sweet series of catch–ups with previous participants – this is the fourth and final episode. Here’s hoping Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer will be back soon, this time with a new group of folk in a quandary about whether to renovate or move home. For now, we’ll settle for finding out what happened to two couples who needed to do some savvy spending to make their projects work. First up are Nottingham’s Lexie and Ed, who faced either compromising the revamp of their four–bedroom home or buying a lavish new place. Meanwhile, in Scotland, Heather and Tim weighed up whether a new place would be better than dealing with a land issue that could impact on their building work.

Cumbria: The Lakes & the Coast

Channel 5, 8pm

Prepare for an overload of cuteness as a herd of alpacas take centre stage. Barbara Hetherington has been breeding them for years, but is handing over the business to her son–in–law Craig. He’s decided to offer visitors a chance to trek with the alpacas across the Eden Valley – but the animals have other ideas. Someone else planning to diversify is Ewan Frost Pennington who, for the first time, is offering overnight stays in rooms at Muncaster Castle, which has been in his family since 1208.

Cause of Death

Channel 5, 9pm

This week’s edition focuses on two distressing cases involving pensioners, so be prepared for some rather emotional scenes. The edition begins as paramedics arrive at the home of an elderly couple. Sadly, the wife is already dead, having passed away on a stairlift, but the husband is still alive, albeit severely injured; it’s up to Dr Adeley and his team to figure out what happened. They also investigate the sudden death of an 83–year–old man who was found in his bathroom, trapped between his bath and sink.

Trump vs Harris: The Battle for America

Channel 4, 9pm

It came as little surprise when incumbent Joe Biden withdrew from the US Presidential election; whether he really is too old for the job remains a moot point, but in the eyes of many voters, he simply was not the person to lead the Democrats in what will be a bad–tempered fight against Republican nominee and former President Donald Trump. But does current VP Kamala Harris have what it takes to beat the controversial businessman at the polls?
